Finishing materials for walls

The walls of the room, made in the concept of finishing with high-quality wood, create an incredibly warm atmosphere and increase the comfort factor for those in such a space. Wooden wall panels are considered to be a very effective and innovative type of coating. Panels made entirely of solid wood are the most environmentally friendly finishing option. The combination of small dice opens up unlimited scope for decorative wall or ceiling decoration. The unique texture of each die guarantees the uniqueness of any surface with such a coating. The ability to use different types of wood in one wall panel is an added advantage. Solid wood panels can become both the main accent and the background for any interior: from classic to high-tech.

Wooden 3D mosaic (3D panel) for walls can be created from various types of wood:

  • Pine is an inexpensive material with a pronounced pattern. Pine is a soft wood that is easy to work but also easy to damage. There is a risk of resin discharge on the surface.
  • Larch - similar to pine, but only much harder, has a pinkish and, in general, more complex wood in color with a pronounced "large pattern". Like pine, there is a risk of resin exudation on the surface. A popular material for the production of lining, imitation of timber and planken. It is very beautiful on long wide boards, but such a pattern, as a rule, is not combined with small dies.
  • Aspen is a practical, easy to work type of wood with a distinctive yellow color. It is a very "gentle" wood species.
  • Walnut is one of the most expensive types of wood. It is good in all respects, and can become a real decoration of the interior. Great for the production of any wooden products, including mosaics.
  • Linden - only relatively young trees can be used, since with age it becomes prone to delamination. Most suitable for finishing saunas, as it has a pleasant smell.
  • Oak is one of the most suitable wood species for the production of mosaics. Oak is hard, has a recognizable texture, is resistant to different operating conditions. Creates a unique atmosphere.
  • Ash is a very hard wood. Interesting for the production of wooden mosaics. Combines white sapwood with a much darker heartwood. The core is similar in texture to oak, but has a more pronounced pattern. The appearance of wood may vary depending on the region where the tree has grown.

Separately, it is worth noting thermoash - when heated to the ignition point of wood, the wood acquires a dark shade and becomes more stable and immune to changes in humidity. In this form, it can be used not only for interior, but also for exterior decoration of houses, as well as for wet areas.

Obviously, premium hardwoods such as ash, oak and walnut are more suitable for the production of 3D panels. It is possible to use other types of wood, but a number of factors speak in favor of the production of hardwood panels: significant disadvantages of using softwood, as well as difficulties in visual perception of combining a large pattern of softwood in small segments of 3D panels.
